My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that studying music is about much more than learning to play an instrument. Music strengthens the mind, deepens emotional understanding, and develops discipline, confidence, creativity, and self-expression. Through piano study, each student has the opportunity to grow not only as a musician, but also as a thoughtful and independent person.

My goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where beginners feel comfortable exploring, experimenting, and expressing themselves without fear of making mistakes. Students who are already passionate about piano receive professional guidance in music reading, rhythm, technique, interpretation, and effective practice strategies. Each curriculum is thoughtfully designed around the student’s individual abilities, interests, and goals.

For younger students, I strongly believe in a student–teacher–parent partnership. The teacher provides knowledge, guidance, and an individualized curriculum; the student brings curiosity, effort, and personal expression; and the parent helps make music and regular practice part of everyday family life. Through trust, respect, and open communication, we work as one team to help each student become a confident, independent, and inspired musician.
